A snippet is throwing an error

If one of your snippets is preventing you from accessing your website admin area you should try using the WPCode Safe Mode to access the site and overcome the error.

To access the safe mode simply add the parameter ?wpcode-safe-mode=1 to your admin url, for example https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/?wpcode-safe-mode=1

Once you enter the safe mode you should simply deactivate the snippet from the WPCode interface. More details on how to access the safe mode can be found in this article.

While we try to catch all errors and provide error reports and automatically disable snippets due to the nature of being able to add any type of code not all errors can be fully prevented

My code is not showing up/is not detected

If you used WPCode to add a script or other types of code to your website and it's not being reflected in the frontend, the first thing you should check is if your website cache has been cleared.

Please note: if you are inserting the snippet as a shortcode, the snippet still has to be activated, otherwise it will not output anything. This allows you to control a shortcode's behaviour without having to edit multiple pages.

Conversion Pixels Events are not tracked

If you are using the WPCode Conversion Pixels addon and some events do not show up in the pixel reports it may be due to our API Integration. If you also configured the API Token integration for any of the pixels that support it, those events will be sent server-side and some platforms display those events as server events.

Please note: API (server-side) events are only tracked for eCommerce events specific to one of the integrations we currently have: WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads or MemberPress.

Depending on the platform and your particular setup, not all the events will be tracked, the settings page of each pixel will display which events are available for tracking depending on your platform.

If you are having issues with the frontend pixel tracking please check that you are not using multiple pixels for the same integration.

I'm not sure where to place the pixel code

If you are using the WPCode Conversion Pixels addon you do not need to add any code manually as the addon will automatically add relevant code for your platform on your website.

If you are looking to manually place your pixel code on your site using WPCode, we recommend using the global Header & Footer area for the main pixel code.

If you need more advanced tracking with events, we recommend using the WPCode Conversion Pixels addon or for more specific instructions for your setup please fill in the details of your desired setup below.

Difficulty with Conditional Logic or Targeting Specific Pages

If you are having issues with creating Conditional Logic rules please take a look at this article.

If you are using multiple rules and they are not working as expected please consider if they should be separated to multiple groups using the "Add new group" button. Rules in the same group (using the "AND" button) have to all be true at the same time in order to take effect.

If you are having trouble targeting a specific page using the "Page URL" condition please consider using the "contains" operator and using the page/post slug for the value for better matching.

I can't update/add snippets

If you are seeing a 403 error or another type of "forbidden" message when attempting to update a snippet you are likely running into a security rule from your firewall/security plugin.

When managing code through WPCode you are making requests that include code in order to save that code so, in some cases, you may run into a permissions error from your firewall, and this is expected as the firewall has no way to know if your request is legitimate.

The way to move forward here is to ask your hosting provider/system administrator to whitelist the WPCode snippet editor URLs to allow you to process code. This is safe, as WPCode has proper checks in place to make sure only authorised users can make changes to the code through those pages.
